Abstract

A multiple-valued CAM capable of processing single-instruction multiple data streams in a highly parallel manner has been developed for cellular logic image processing applications. The device uses universal literals to perform template matching operations with multiple-valued compressed templates. It requires less board area than other CAM-based hardware used in highly-parallel template matching.
