Abstract

Electron holography provides a unique method for detecting the phase shift of the electron wave due to the magnetic field and electrical field. Electron holography is carried out through a two-step imaging process. In the first step, a hologram is formed by superimposing an object wave on a reference wave using a biprism. In the second step, the phase shift is extracted from the hologram using the Fourier transform. Polymeric material was observed by electron holography, and finaly we obtained the reconstructed phase images. Furthermore, 3D volume data of the reconstructed phase images was obtained by transmission electron microtomography.
