Abstract
A 60Gbit/s WDM (20Gbit/s × 3 unequally spaced channels) soliton data signal is successfully transmitted over 10000km using in-line synchronous modulation and narrowband optical filtering. A combination of self-phase modulation and optical filtering has been used to further stabilise the energy of the soliton pulse after separation in each channel.
