N2 - Fulminant type 1 diabetes associated with pregnancy is very rare. However if it occurs, the rapid onset is associated with an extremely high risk of fetal death. Therefore, it is important for physicians to make an appropriate diagnosis as early as possible and to begin immediate treatment of both the mother and the fetus. We report a case of fulminant type 1 diabetes associated with pregnancy in which a good outcome was achieved for both the mother and the fetus.
