Abstract

A new cloth inductor using amorphous magnetic fibers is proposed and discussed on its design and characteristics along with experimental results. The cloth inductor realizes larger inductance per unit volume than that of chip type inductor and therefore is able to be miniaturized. Furthermore, an isolating transformer in cloth structure is fabricated which acts in the frequency range up to 10 MHz.
