Abstract
A new planar-type current detector has been developed. The detector senses the amplitude and the phase of sinusoidal high frequency current. The operating principle is the control of skin depth for conducting current in the magnetic material. A pair of Co base zero magnetostrictive amorphous plate with 18.8mm length, 43mm width and 23μm thickness could sense the amplitude of 7MHz current with good linearity. The results are useful for developing micro magnetic devices.
