N2 - It is pointed out that the gravitational particle production rate of a scalar component of a chiral superfield in supergravity with minimal Kähler potential can be significantly suppressed compared with a minimal scalar field in non-supersymmetric Einstein gravity. This suppression is avoided for some choice of the inflaton sector and also for non-minimal Kähler potential of the chiral superfield.
