Abstract

A new surface emitting dye laser is proposed for bio-optical detections in micro-TAS. The micro laser consists of a guided mode resonant grating made of dye doped PMMA. In an arbitrary area where the sub-wavelength grating is patterned, single-mode laser oscillation is obtained at the wavelength determined by the grating period.
