Abstract

A study for the quantitative actinide analysis by using a triple quadrupole ICP-MS/MS, Agilent 8900, was carried out. We confirmed the formation percentages of ionic species of each actinide in several kinds of collision/reaction cell modes. It was found that the dominant ions in oxygen gas mode were oxide ions, and the ratio of monoxide ion/dioxide ion increases with atomic number in the case of same oxygen gas flow rate. The percentages of actinide ion and oxide ions depend on the oxygen gas flow rate, and the number of oxygen attached on actinides increases with the oxygen gas flow rate.
