Abstract

This paper reviews an emerging photonic network architecture based on the movable and deployable ICT resource unit(MDRU). The architecture enables us to instantly deploy an adhoc network that can meet rapid changes in service demand. Development of prototype MDRU and the results of a proof-of-concept experiment are reported.
