Abstract

We reported previously that an anomaly appeared in the specific heat of UPd2Al3.03 in the superconducting state. An anomaly has also been observed in the thermal expansion of a sample, which was cut from the same ingot of UPd2Al3.03 revealing de Haas-van Alphen oscillations. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of La0.25U0.75Pd2Al3 shows no peak down to about 5 K contrary to that of UPd2Al3, implying a nonsinglet ground state.
