Abstract

We demonstrate that a finite difference time domain (FDTD) method analyze precisely electromagnetic field of nerve impulses in brain. An essential advantage of FDTD method is that an arbitrary shape of the brain and any heterogeneous properties of propagation in brain can be used. Thus the proposed method can analyze complex electromagnetic field and provide a better estimation of EEG (or MEG) activity, that is a measurement of the electromagnetic field on the scalp of head.
