N2 - Photoemission and inverse photoemission spectroscopies were performed on Bi2Sr2Ca1-xYxCu2O8 (x=0 - 0.6) single crystals and ceramics. Angle-resolved measurement on Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 single crystal showed that there are two bands crossing the Fermi level centered at Γ point. It has been also found that hole doping does not necessarily cause a rigid shift of the density of states relative to the Fermi level, but creats new electronic states in the vicinity of the Fermi level.
