Abstract

Electronic structure of the MX-chain compound [Ni(chxn)2Br] was studied by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) experiments. The essential features of the spectra were explained by the d-p chain model calculations with a small charge-transfer energy. It was proposed that the charge-transfer (CT) energy was an essential parameter for tuning the nonlinear optical (NLO) effects of CT-type 1D-strongly correlated (SC) electron system.
