Abstract

A baseband processing feedforward frequency drift compensation technique (feedforward FDC) that eliminates false phase locking is proposed for the differential detection of burst π/4-shift QDPSK signals. Computer simulations show that although the proposed FDC is slightly inferior in performance to baseband feedback FDC, the influence of frequency drift can be significantly reduced.
