Abstract

We propose the use of the auricular movement as a control command for functional electrical simulation (FES) system. This paper describes a learning method of voluntary movement of the auricula. Training for learning the auricular movement was performed with electrical simulation for 3 subjects. Two subjects could acquire the voluntary movement of the auricula. One acquired the movement in 5 days, and the other did in 14 days.
