Abstract

The optical diffraction radiation (ODR) was investigated from a slit target for noninvasive electron beam-size diagnostics at the KEK accelerator test facility. The beam-size effect onto the ODR angular pattern was observed and the sensitivity to the beam size as small as 14μm was achieved. The first incoherent ODR observation from a slit target. The beam-size effect onto the ODR angular pattern was investigated using a set of wire scanners to measure the beam size.
