Abstract
It has been revealed that certain arrangement of four elliptical ferromagnetic dots are able to perform logical NAND and NOR operations. The dot dimension is less than 100nm, which leads very high integration density. Such logic gates are named as magnetic logic gate (MLG). The appropriate shape and size of the dots are obtained by investigating nanodots having various shapes and sizes. It has been found that elliptical dots are suitable for the MLG because these exhibit two preferential directions of magnetization originated by uniaxial shape anisotropy.
