title = "Breakdown characteristics of nanosecond-pulsed plasma discharges in supercritical carbon dioxide and supercritical air",
abstract = "We report on an experimental study of the behavior of nanosecond-pulsed plasma discharges in air and CO2, around the critical point. Plasma discharges were created by voltage pulses of up to 8 kV, duration 10 ns, applied between a pin-to-plane electrodes configuration for CO2and two pin electrodes for air. The breakdown voltage and the associated current were measured. The results show a non-linearity of the plasma behavior at the critical point for air, but not for CO2.",
