title = "Bundled hollow-optical fiber for delivery of 30-MW peak power Nd: YAG laser pulses",
abstract = "A bundled hollow waveguide, composed of 37 Ag-hollow fibers, was designed and fabricated to deliver high peak-power Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser pulses. The input end of the fibers are directly radiated by the laser beam without using a lens to remove an air-breakdown effect. Output peak-power up to 24 MW at the fundamental-mode was observed without any damages in the fibers. Output beam profiles from the waveguide were also examined and we observed no degradation in the beam quality at straight and bent positions.",
