N2 - Chemical effects of chromium L X-rays were examined by bombarding various chromium compounds with 11 keV electrons. Lα and Lβ lines showed prominent intensity changes depending on the chemical environments, because electronic transitions occur from valence orbitals in these cases. The chemical effects were compared with those in Kβ2,5 X-rays in which chromium valence electrons participate in the transition.
