Abstract

A small island of chiral rotation was found and attributed to the systematic appearance of similar low-lying doublet bands of the same parity in the N = 75 isotones with near degeneracy in 134Pr. The observed island is surrounded by shores of soft chiral vibrations as is the case for other islands of broken symmetries.
