Abstract
The enantioselective glyoxylate-ene reaction catalyzed by chiral titanium complex derived from partially resolved binaphthol (BINOL) is shown to exhibit a remarkable level of asymmetric amplification (positive nonlinear effect). Thus, the optical yield of the ene product significantly exceeds the enantio-purity of the chiral ligand (BINOL).
