Abstract

The AC susceptibility of rapidly quenched amorphous (Fe1-xM x)77Si10B13 (M=V,Cr,Mn,Ni) alloys has been measured in the temperature range from 4.2 to 300 K. A magnetic phase diagram is obtained for each pseudobinary alloys system. The alloys are found to exhibit either reentrant or classical spin-glass behaviour at low temperatures. A spontaneous magnetic moment exists in the reentrant spin-glass state but not in the classical spin-glass state. The common feature of all the alloy systems is a remarkable increase in coercivity and relaxation below Tg. 57Fe Mossbauer spectra have also been measured for the M=Mn alloys, and a steep increase in the average hyperfine field is observed below T g.
