Abstract

Non-equilibrium solute grain boundary segregation in real polycrystalline materials was studied. The kinetics of grain boundary segregation and its temperature dependence is governed by the mechanism of atomic diffusion of the solutes in the crystalline grains. The study focused on the influences of atomic diffusion and microstructure on grain boundary segregation.
