Abstract
The synthesis and thermal properties of liquid crystalline side-chain polyketones with different backbone stereoregularities were addressed. Significant influences of the backbone structure were identified. In particular, higher stereoregularity increased stability of the crystalline phase, and moreover, the liquid crystalline phases of isotactic polyketone was endowed with chirality due to the chirotopic center in the backbone.
