Abstract
The conditions for the formation of L12 continuous solid solution in the quaternary system are discussed on the basis of the previously obtained results. The size factor is believed to be the most favourable factor for the formation of a continuous solid solution between two L12 compounds in a quaternary system. The substitution behaviour during the formation of the L12 continuous solid solution in a quaternary system is also studied by analysing L12 phase compositions.
