Abstract
We proposed and demonstrated the operation of coupled waveguide devices based on photonic crystal (PC) structures fabricated by autocloning technology. Fundamental operations as optical directional couplers with PC waveguide structures were achieved at a 1550-nm wavelength. Furthermore, we demonstrated optical add/drop multiplexers with a 7-nm dropping bandwidth by adding Bragg reflectors with three-dimensional PC structures to the directional couplers.
