Abstract

Remarkable investigations such as anisotropy and irreversibility field of the critical current for high-Tc superconductors using a hybrid magnet at Tohoku University are presented. Chemical-vapour-deposition processed YBa2Cu3O7 films for evaluation of vortex dynamics, Ag-sheathed Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 wires for performance tests of high field superconductors, and melt-growth processed YBa2Cu3O7 and powder-sintering processed Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 bulks for current lead applications are being utilized. The comparison of the critical current properties in fields up to 30 T is performed for high-Tc superconducting films, wires and bulks.
