abstract = "CeBr3 and Pr-doped CeBr3 (Pr:CeBr3) single crystals were grown by the halide-micro-pulling-down method, and the effects of Pr doping on the optical and scintillation properties of the CeBr3 single crystal were investigated. The emission peaks originating from the 4f-4f transition of Pr3+ions were observed in the photoluminescence spectrum of the Pr:CeBr3 single crystal in addition to the emission peaks related to the 5d-4f transition of Ce3+ ions. The decay of fast and slow components under gamma-ray irradiation systematically accelerated with increasing Pr concentration while the light yield decreased.",
