Abstract

Synthesis and crystal structure of the dinuclear complex threo-[Fe III 2(saltab)(Him)4](ClO2) 2·2MeOH (1) {H4saltab = (2R,3S)-1,2,3,4- tetrakis(salicylideneamino)butane, a bis-(salen)-type Schiff base ligand, and Him = imidazole} are reported. The magnetic behavior of 1 showed that it was in a high-spin state over the whole temperature region.
