Abstract
The crystal structure and superconductivity are compared among intercalation compounds of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8Brx, Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8Ix and Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8(IBr)x/2 with 0 ≦ x ≦ 1. The increases in a-axis and in spacing between the BiO-BiO layers are different among these systems, while the halogen-concentration x dependence of Tc is universal to these systems. These are discussed in relation to the charge transfer and the change in two-dimensionality through intercalation.
