Abstract
Hydrogen-bonded supramolecular crystals were formed from amphoteric azopyridine carboxylic acid derivatives by sublimation. In this report, we carried out the structural analysis of the hydrogen-bonded supramolecular crystals and revealed C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between a carboxy oxygen atom and a hydrogen atom bonded with a carbon atom neighboring on an electron-drawing group. It was found that the C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds played a role to stabilize the supramolecular crystals thermally.
