Abstract

Cyclotron resonance measurements on a single crystal of GdAs have been performed in the temperature range from 4.2 to 0.5 K to obtain the cyclotron effective mass of the carriers at the Fermi level. The cyclotron effective masses varies from 0.45 m0 to 0.48 m0 depending on magnetic filed direction, which is about two times larger than the masses estimated by dHvA effect.
