N2 - In an attempt at developing of the catalysts for catalytic partial oxidation, the Rh/(CeO2+ZrO2+MgO) catalyst showed good activity. And the investigation for the effect of the residence time on product gas compositions suggested that the direct catalytic partial oxidation (D-CPOX: CH4+0.5O2→CO+2H2) occurred at first, then steam reforming, CO2 reforming or methanation reaction followed D- CPOX. The results of XPS analysis of these catalysts represented that the Rh species on the CeO2+ZrO2+MgO support was reduced more easily than that on the MgO support.
