Diagnostic imaging in guidelines for management of idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus

Abstract

The Guidelines for Management of Idiopathic Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (iNPH) was revised in July, 2011. In this revised guidelines, new concepts: disproportionately enlarged subarachnoid-space hydrocephalus (DESH) and asymptomatic ventriculomegaly with features of idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus on MRI (AVIM) are described. Here we review the new concepts and diagnostic image findings in iNPH.
