Abstract

PHOSPHORUS, SILICON, AND VANADIUM DISTRIBUTION RATIOS BETWEEN SLAG AND A CARBON SATURATED IRON MELT WERE OBTAINED AT 1350 D. C. THE ORDER OF OXIDATION OF SILICON, PHOSPHORUS, VANADIUM, MANGANESE AND CHROMIUM IS DISCUSSED. THE RESULTS GIVE THE OPTIMUM SLAG COMPOSITIONS FOR HIGH VANADIUM RECOVERY.
