Abstract

The nature of the fluctuation modes of lamellar structure of a water/surfactant system was discussed. A diffuse scattering peak was seen in the angle scattering profile and this scattering was found to originate from the fluctuation modes. It was found that with the approaching temperature of the double gyroid phase the relaxation rate of the least stable fluctuation modes decreases.
