Abstract
Angular distributions of fission fragments emitted in the 40Ar+209Bi reaction at 26 MeV u-1 were measured in coincidence with projectile-like fragments (PLF). Linear momentum transfer, angular momentum transfer ltr and spin alignment PZZ of the fissile nucleus were deduced as functions of the atomic number Z of PLF. Observed trend of ltr and PZZ suggests that a significant part of the PLF is emitted in dissipative process. Large missing momenta were observed. They are attributed to pre-equilibrium light-particle emission from the fissile nucleus.
