Abstract

Angular correlation of annihilation radiation (ACAR) from single crystals of [Fe(ptz)6](BF4)2 and [Zn(ptz)6](BF4)2 were measured in the temperature range between 23K and 295K. Large temperature dependence of ACAR spectra for [Fe(ptz)6](BF4)2 around the spin-crossover temperature (130K) was observed. On the contrary, ACAR spectra for [Zn(ptz)6](BF4)2 was almost independent of temperature. The results show that the positronium atom is highly sensitive probe of the spin-crossover transition.
