Abstract

The effects of bath-induced vibrational transitions on the time-resolved resonant light scattering (RLS) from a multilevel molecular system in condensed phases are theoretically studied. The expression for the RLS involving the operator of the bath-induced vibrational transition is derived based on the double space formalism by Schmutz. A model calculation of the time-resolved RLS is performed to demonstrate the different time-dependent behaviors between the bath-induced fluorescence and resonance fluorescence (resonance Raman scattering).
