Abstract
The angular distribution of proton-9C elastic scattering at 277-300 MeV/nucleon was measured with a newly designed recoil proton spectrometer. The angular distribution was analyzed using the relativistic impulse approximation. The root-mean-square matter radius of 9C was deduced to be 2.43-0.28+0.55 fm with different two-parameter Fermi density distributions for protons and neutrons.
