Electrical and calorimetric evidences of a pseudo-gap in antiferromagnetic equiatomic MnPd alloy

Abstract

Electrical and calorimetric properties of equiatomic MnPd alloy were investigated. For MnPd, the electrical resistivity shows a characteristic behavior of gap-type antiferromagnets and the electronic specific heat coefficient is remarkably small. These experimental results are in accord with the calculated band structure with a pseudo-gap around the Fermi level.
