N2 - In the present study, we developed a novel switching system of electrochemical imaging for evaluation of respiration activity of cell aggregates. The switching element is based on molecular consumption due to electrochemical reaction at electrodes. By using the system, many electrochemical sensors can be easily incorporated into a small chip device, which is useful for multi-point detection. The detection system was successfully applied for evaluation of respiration activity of cell aggregates.
