N2 - In this study, the phase changes induced by electron irradiation has been studied by in-situ transmission electron microscopy with three kinds of nanomaterials, that is, SiOx/Pt/CNT, α-alumina and tungsten oxide films. First, SiOx/Pt/CNT was changed into Pt-silicide/CNT under electron irradiation and Pt-silicide was the same one formed by thermal process. Second, α- κ' phase transformation took placed in α-alumina when it was subjected to electron irradiation. And finally, one or two-dimensional tungsten nanowire networks were fabricated on a tungsten film by electron irradiation.
