Abstract

High-resolution ARPES on CaB6 were carried out. As a result, the valence-band structure of CaB6 was experimentally determined. A small electronlike spheroidal Fermi surface at X point in the Brillouin zone was directly observed. It was found that the volume of the Fermi surface exhibits an excellent quantitative agreement with Hall resistivity measurement with the same crystal.
