Abstract

The previous angle-resolved photoemission study of rhombohedral arsenic [Phys. Rev. B 30, 1765 (1984)] has been extended by use of synchrotron radiation of about 20 80 eV. The band structure along the T direction in the Brillouin zone is determined experimentally for what we believe to be the first time. The experimental results are compared with the self-consistent pseudopotential calculation performed in this study as well as with some previous representative band calculations.
