Abstract
Exact diagonalization study on faster rotating Bose-Eistein condensates (BECs) was performed. Two distinct kinds of energy gaps were found: one above the single-vortex state and the other associated with vortex-antivortex pair excitations above the v=1/2 Laughlin state. Furthermore, it was found that higher excited states with L≲N form linear energy bands.
