Abstract

We report systematic measurements of the electron effective mass (m e*) and the electron-hole reduced mass (μ*) depending on the electron density in a high quality back-gated undoped GaAs/AlGaAs quantum well by transport and photoluminescence measurements in magnetic fields. Both me* and μ* increase with decrease in the electron density indicating the role of the electron-electron interaction.
