Abstract

We have developed numerical codes based on PIC-MCC method with some representative reactions for N2 and CO2 to perform discharge dynamics in DBD plasma actuator and estimate generated force resulting from ion-neutral collision. The generated force depends on the ambient pressure, and has a peak value around 10 times lower pressure than the atmospheric one, in which electrons are effectively accelerated to excess the ionization energy without large lost of energy through elastic collision with neutrals.
